The Adventures of Fu Manchu

Laurette Luez as "Karamaneh" represents one of the first cross-overs from Moll to HenchGirl... A Moll is a WOman who has sex with a criminal and benefits from his ill-gotten gains... A HenchGirl is a WOman who helps a criminal get his ill-gotten gains... A Moll may also help the criminal in the course of affairs, but her primary purpose is sex and money; a HenchGirl may have sex with the criminal, but her primary role is to aid and abet in getting the money with the criminal making plans that specifically include her in his capers... Karamaneh clearly (inexplicably) has a thing for Fu Manchu, and spends most of the series milling about him in an affectionate, Moll-like manner, but Fu Manchu also gives her direct tasks to accomplish as though she is a dependable HenchGirl... All this analysis doesn't even touch on how Fleshily Sexy Karamaneh is in her various ersatz-eastern costumes... Laurette Luez was basically a meaty Pinup Girl and her acting abilities reflect that,  but she was still effective as a Devil's Assistant who clearly enjoyed helping him execute his evil doings... Both Fu and Karamaneh are prototypes of the master criminals and sexy HenchGirls that would find their greatest expression on Batman...
