But then, inexplicably, she warms up to him...

Why the change of heart? Why the kisses?

Well we know he's not dead because he never dies and of course the gun has blanks and he has a bullet-proof vest on or some other corny reason, but for the moment she certainly think she's killing him and does so with a ruthless intention...
