| One of the absurd conventions of the series was that humanoids existed all over the universe, yet they didn't have a clue about being human... Despite that she's dressed like a space-age hooker, Sha-na-na has no clue about sex until Kirk comes along and gives her a lesson in kissing... Well, what was she doing with her tongue & mouth before the lesson? Was she making out by sticking her elbow in some other humanoid guy's ear? She obviously has all the parts - didn't she or any other alien in the universe happen to notice? To watch the show required significant suspension of disbelief, but the writers just kept pushing reason out farther into deep space and the combination of her hyper-erotic costume and naiveté about sex was about as far as any suspension could boldly go... Of course, with that costume a guy's suspension could hold up a bridge during rush hour... |
