Before the boring story-line kids showed up, the 1st season episodes featured a more blatant sexism, with quite a few Attractive WOmen not shy about their physical assets aggressively trying to snare Darrin from Samantha... Why any woman would be interested in Darrin is beyond the scope of this project... The show's sexism, though, should be no surprise since its producer, William Asher, also directed the Frankie-Annette Beach movies, whose staple were over-developed Babes In Bikinis... |

How
cool were the 60s? You get a Witch for a wife and she's kind, understanding,
helpful, supportive... and gorgeous! No Evil Hag who can make your life
miserable for an eternity, who can vex and hex you with a wart on her nose,
but the Ideal WOman every man dreams of... And if anything goes wrong, really
bad, in a pinch, she can make it all better by a twinkle of her nose! Of
course her taste in husbands is atrocious... What a dork Durwood be, especially
after he had a body change... But that's even better and makes her even more
perfect: she loves losers!
Of course, every now & then she did get fed up with him...
But it wasn't like Durwood was ever going to walk out on this...
