She can now steal men's voices!

She arrives at the Commissioner's office
with her entourage...

Who includes a stunning Pretty Young
Thing...

Wrapping Gordon around her finger...

Just how low can a belt be slung?

One swingin' CatWOman...
Some more lair-lording over the guys with the funny hats...
The men are clearly subservient, but
Eenie has the status of protégé...

Making a call to the commissioner...

To steal his voice!

Just one of her ways to render a man impotent...
Here's her way to render a man insane...

Keeping those muscles toned...
Is this what she meant by insouciant?
CatWOman lair scenes are always a fascinating glimpse into Her World... The guys with funny hats spend a lot of time just watching CatWOman be CatWOman, a not-uninteresting proposition for the viewer... And for the male viewer it compellingly approximates what it would be like to be her servant...
Eeenie watching the men lose the battle...

Okay, this should be a fair fight...

Two guys against two gals...
Except B & R don't know how to take on a WOman like this...
While they know how to pound other men into pulp,
they're not prepared for Seductive Power of Feminine Wiles...
With the young henchgal Eenie looking on,
CatWoman asks to freshen her make-up...
Batman warns:
don't try anything "untoward..."
Oh no, she's not going try anything "untoward," she's just going to trick
Batman as she always does...

From the most hallowed
of Female receptacles,
The Purse,
She pulls out one of the tools of Feminine Mystery,
The Compact...
B & R don't have the faintest what she's
doing, to them it's just girl stuff...

Bet Eenie knows what's going on -
she's learning from her mistress...
R catches on : "You can never trust a woman..."
Atomizing herself with more
Feminine Magic, Perfume... CatWOman
ready to pounce...
As defeated as Batman's ever been on the show...
Thanks to Starman* for the large vidcaps...

Robin, on the other hand, doesn't have a clue...
CatWOman doses up the Dynamic Duo with some Feminine Magic...
"I'm afraid we've been drugged, Robin..."
The Triumphant WOmen watch the drug take effect...

"Kow-Tow" means
to bow down to, worship...

A
WOman who demands men bow down to her...

Firing a laser gun...

She has become technically more proficient than her 1st 2 appearances...

Now able to control sound, light and air, she is SuperNaturally powerful,
achieving full-fledged Goddess status...

Applying the ultimate tool of
Feminine Magic,
LipStick...

Can't
really say Batman's winning this tussle...

Apparently
CatWOman likes it on-top...
This ep more fully explores the
"WOman" side of CatWOman... Her 3rd appearance, the writer
Stanley Ralph Ross fleshes out the character beyond the cartoon-comic
book level, while at the same time aggrandizes her to a Mythic level...
All thru the ep at every step Batman loses to her, but even tho she wins
out at the end, she gives up, because in spite of her Dominance and his
obvious defeat, he defends the innate goodness that makes Batman so
special... She can't dominate him any more than she already has unless
she kills him, and at this point she lets her feelings for him dictate
her behavior... We actually see her relent from being a FemmeDom because
she is so successful at being one... In the real life interplay between
the sexes, dominance is momentary & fleeting, and an "equal"
relationship is established when both sides know when to give in and let
the other have his / her way... Much of the "Battles of the Sexes" in
50s / 60s media was due to the repression of WOmen and them having to
prove to men that they can be superior... CatWOman has proved this
beyond a shadow of a doubt and from here-on
(save the anomaly of the Sandman
appearance) her character
will become more of a caricature of a FemmeDom, alternating with a hokey
desire to be Batman's lover...
Has
there ever been a 1-hit wonder like Sharyn Wynters? Any guy that sees
her instantly goes: wow! But she doesn't really do anything in the eps,
shows no great acting ability, and doesn't have much of career to
follow-up on... She does add to the aura, further developed in the
"Pussycat" episode, that CatWOman is a role model for younger Femmes and
that she is training them to be powerful... And in some ways she's the
epitome of Batman's presentation of FantasyFemmes: even the
obscure can be decked out in a riveting costume and made to seem
gorgeous beyond belief...
By
this point you have to start wondering how B&R
keep letting themselves fall into the clutches of CatWOman, and you have
to suspect that somewhere along the line B&R are masochists and enjoy
being knocked-out and tortured by her... While not a popularly known
practice at the time of the series, it is now widely known that men pay
WOmen to treat them badly, and again, one wonders how much the S&M
phenomena was influenced by
Batman...
High
C writes: "The appearance of Sharyn
Wynters as Eenie is a head-scratcher more puzzling than anything Riddler
ever devised. What, exactly, was she doing in this episode? Obviously,
not much, as WOmWAm has pointed out. But what was Stanley Ralph Ross
thinking? Why would Catwoman need a moll? (Eenie does no henchgal-type
stuff, other than wielding a weapon at one point.) Was SRR trying to
imply some kind of lesbian relationship between her and Catwoman? Very
unlikely, of course, but it leaves you wondering.
Certainly, it appears as if there may have been more to this character
than what was seen on the screen. Wynters’ uninspiring line readings may
have led to some of her other lines being cut. For instance, when
Catwoman puts B&R in a noisy trap designed to reduce their brains to
mush and make them mindless servants, the narrator asks if Robin will be
nothing more than a “cuddly teddy bear for Eenie.” Funny, because Eenie
never even suggests that she’s mildly interested in the Boy Boner.
If her performance had been more memorable, Wynters would be recalled as
one of the most beautiful of all henchgals/molls. Instead, she’s a
curious footnote."
