Myrna Fahey as the indomitable
"Blaze..."

Perhaps
of all the HenchGirl / Moll roles, "Blaze" received the fullest character
development. The script didn't exactly embrace the guest villain, "False
Face," and clearly developed a sub-plot for her. Paradoxically, she's ruthlessly
evil in Act One, then radically switches sides in Act Two, motivated
by Batman's inner goodness... Needless to say, WOmWAm remains fascinated by how
evil she is...

The worker goes to light her cigarette,
but then it
dawns on him: This is a paper warehouse,
you can't smoke here!

He asks what department she's in...
Exceptionally smug, she takes the cigarette out and responds "Removal..."
Placing the filter to her lips...

Blowing the Mother of all
Knock-out Powder Blows...
The worker is overwhelmingly powder-doused...
And Blaze triumphantly watches him collapse
in a cloud of unconsciousness...

Batman makes a further mistake leaving
young Robin with the wily Blaze...
While Batman goes off to be gassed by False Face,
Blaze is charged to subdue the unfairly
over-matched Robin...

She turns her mature, WOmanly charms on
the young, innocent boy,
overwhelming him with flattery and a warm
embrace...
While Robin swoons,
she reaches for her tricky hair clip...

Poor Robin has no idea what's coming...

She
wickedly lifts the clip to his face...
And blasts him with the GrandMother of all
Knock-Out Powder Blasts...

Robin is still smiling, so happy over the hug...

That he is defenseless as Blaze mercilessly
reams him in the face...
And the Boy Boner is felled to the ground...
Blaze watches with great satisfaction as he naturally drifts towards her breasts on the way down...
Meanwhile, Batman has problems of his
own in this orgy of gassing...

Thanks to Starman* for the large vidcaps...
A
phenomenal result of watching Batman for young boys was to identify with
Robin, the Boy Wonder. The "Blaze" character had a matronly / motherly air to
her, at times seeming like a School Marm or a Librarian (something about the
fabric pattern and the strange gray hair), so in some respect the Robin
knock-out scene takes on a perverted Mother-Son dynamic (in the cap to the
left it looks like she's feeding him milk from a bottle... "There, there boy
Robin, go to sleep now...") At the very least, the sublimated sexuality of the
scene is not too far from the surface -- a pubescent Robin is overwhelmed /
over-powered by a Mature WOman... Robin the virgin is an innocent who is just
thrilled to be physically hugged by the older, conniving Blaze... Blithered
into a Feminine Bliss, he is completely caught off-guard by her assault,
despite having witnessed her knock-out the worker in the earlier scene... This is
Robin's first sexual experience and his arousal is turned against him, used to
subdue him... It's a safe bet that he has a Boy Boner on as she gasses him,
which all the more contributes to the viewer's arousal... Not
surprisingly, there is a whole cult out there in web-land addicted to the
Blaze character and her two astonishingly powerful knock-outs... With her
icily retort of being in the "Removal" department, Blaze is a Fumigating Angel
of Death sending men into the Netherworld on a silken cloud of endless sleep...
