Deadlier Than the Male represents the epitome of the !WOm!WAm! website -- a good portion of the film features nothing but WOmen doing things to men, mostly killing them. You'd be hard-pressed to find a pair of more DOMinating WOmen than the beautiful assassins, Irma Eckman and Penelope... Their attacks are ruthlessly calculated, always one step ahead of their male victim so he has no chance of defending himself, with the WOmen clearly counting on the men being charmed and disarmed by their seductive Feminine Beauty. Ironically, this movie and it's sequel, Some Girls Do, were co-produced by a woman named Betty Box.

The Irma Eckman character is a fascinating contrast to her flighty partner, Penelope: Irma is all business, efficient, exact in only a way a Nordic Valkyrie can be. Voluptuous beyond reason, Irma is absolutely assured any man will discombobulate at the mere sight of her and she wickedly uses this sexual advantage, proceeding with confident calculation as she carries out her executions...

Penelope is a delicious contrast to the logical, Nordic Irma. Flighty and playful with a perverse sense of fun, her style of Female Dominance teases and titillates, oozing a maternal command where she treats her victims as little boys. Her torture scene of Bulldog Drummond's nephew is one of the more extended S&M sessions in popular media, and the utter dominance she exudes affords a casual sensuality where she is both making love to and physically inflicting pain on her victim. The male psyche is stereotypically one of action, but when a male is rendered to in-action, helpless and defenseless, thoroughly subject to a WOman's Will, an inverse sexual excitement rises, where the tied up male is essentially reduced to a baby in crib, unable to do anything for himself, thoroughly dependent on his Loving Mother for both pain and pleasure...

The theme of male immobilization is fully realized in the assassination of Mr. Bridgenorth... The name evokes self-delusion about male superiority, with  Bridge & North connoting strength and the power of erections.
The act of sticking a needle into his neck is the hyper-real act of making a man erect - a forced full erection that speeds him towards his doom.

His paroxysmal spasming induced by the poison is the full-on rush of orgasmic ejaculation...

By inducing the ultimate orgasm the WOmen have reduced him to the ultimate baby:

What makes the scene so deliciously sadistic is that Bridgenorth has time *to think* about what the WOmen are doing to him, particularly when they first toss him onto the ledge...

He is experiencing the inextricable connection between Sex & Death... He started out wanting to bang Irma, to dominate her by exploding in the full-force of ejaculation, but she has turned his desire against him, using the dynamics of sexual energy to push him off the ledge into eternity...

The tandem efficiency of the 2 WOmen is mind-boggling - they work so well together - a constant sharing of Feminine Energy - one always picks up where the other left off... You have to feel sorry for the male victims as it is impossible for any one man to resist the double-power of such delectable Femmes...
