This
movie has silly fun with the Greek myth of The Amazons, but all the elements are
there: a matriarchal society where men are clearly subservient to WOmen,
relegated to housework while the WOmen are the Warriors... When they do mate
with men, the Women kill the men afterwards... The single-breast anatomy issue
is deftly handled through costuming where one breast protrudes out clothed in a
different fabric... The movie is less about the Queen and more about Antiope &
Melita who vie to be Queen, but what is offered is one of the more lengthy
depictions of a FemmeDom environment... Rod Taylor is a hoot throughout,
either being overly-manly or overly-effeminate, assuming a subordinate posture
to Melita... The soundtrack is totally 1960-contemporary, with no effort to
sound Greco-ancient, adding to the jazzy energy of the flick...
