1959:
Li'l Abner
JULIE NEWMAR
as "Stupefyn' Jones"

Her inhuman beauty is unleashed on Dork-Incarnate, Jerry Lewis...

She works her magic on the helpless hicks of Dogpatch...

Making Li'l Abner just a little bit bigger...

One of the most physically stunning FEmale Projections ever, the not-quite-human effect of JN used to its greatest effect... As mind-boggling as she is in the film, imagine what it would have been like to have seen Stupefyn' live... 1956 review of Broadway show: "On stage for a mere 90 seconds and scandalously clad in a tight black nylon mesh costume, Julie stunned both the men of fictional Dogpatch and theater patrons into obedient sycophants with her bombshell bod..." |
Stella Stevens as "Appassionata Von Climax..."
Mikey writes: "In Lil Abner, Julie was
extraordinary. Extraordinary barely suffices. But after all is said and
done, she leaves a guy Stupefied! Whereas Stella brings him to von Climax
after von Climax. She enters as Bullmoose's mistress who is balling the
chauffeur and assigned to get Yokum. Now he's a jerk, which is not her
fault, but the two opening moves she puts on him are super -- just
breathing, and then backing him up with an invitation for a hunting weekend
that he's sure to find very interesting. Later (Sadie Hawkins Day) all she
gets to do is sashay up and take possession of the jerk (with one of
the great knowing nods) and then lead him to the back seat of the limo. In
addition to being eye candy, Stella exudes sexuality every moment on
screen."
Leslie Parrish as "Daisy Mae..."
