Girl's Town is one of the first offerings of female-male equality in a fight... The prevalent attitude of the 50s was to treat Female Violence as an aberration, that the Violent Woman was usually an Amazon or not-attractive, more of a freak of nature, and if she did get a good shot in, it was due more to surprise than ability... Early-60s Femme-Vi usually came as a form of comedy, so it was not until the mid-60s, notably via Honor Blackman as Pussy Galore, was it generally accepted that a woman could fight a man equally, and martial arts was the equalizer... For 1959, tho, Gloria Talbot's Vida was about as fearsome as a gal could get on screen, and MVD is surprisingly effective as well...
