1958: I Married a Woman

DIANA DORS
(and what a WOman...)

There's an absurd number of promos for this floating out there...

All in a much higher quality than any available print of the actual movie...

Not really complaining, tho...

Diana Dors showing how to make love to a door...

This shot begs the question: What is he dreaming about?

It can't be any better than what's standing right next to him...

George Gobel is a small man & Diana Dors is a Big WOman...

You wonder if he can actually handle her weight on his lap...

He's in for a bumpy ride...

For all the silver bathing suit promo shots taken, in the movie she appears just briefly in it, as part of a flashback...

(And not surpirsingly, the reason he fell for her...)

He just didn't marry a WOman, he married a WOman most men would faint over upon meeting... Of course, that's the joke, with the bigger supposed joke being that he sometimes complains about her... She's not perfect... This is the movie that made it apparent Diana Dors was never going to be a big star in the US... And also that George Gobel was not to have a film career, which is a shame since his character shtick was  the schnook being worked over by Incredibly Sexy Dames...

Marilyn Hanold briefly appears in the bathing suit flashback, and also appeared in Birds & The Bees... Both her walk-ons stuck with Lonesome George as she wound up in Vegas as part of his comedy act, looking incredibly stunning & statuesque, towering over him...
