1956: World Without End

As in other 1950s space-schlockers, the Alien Girl costumes look more like cocktail waitress uniforms...

But equally true is that such costuming was a major source for LegShows in the 50s, a tradition that thankfully survived well into the 60s right through Star Trek... It seems the logic of outer-space is that no matter what planet you go to, the FEmale of the species is just itching  to show off her legs...

And invariably, this captivates the leg-worshipping Earth man...

Rod Taylor: "Well, if you're gonna show off your legs, I'm gonna show off my chest..."

The other guy: "Rod, her legs are way cooler than your chest..."

Nancy Gates is the Alien Space Lovely with the lovely legs, and her chest ain't so bad either...
